The PhD program in political institutions and systems provides a high level of program knowledge to gain proficiency in political systems and political institutions, political regimes and political parties, world politics and diplomacy. The program provides candidates with the opportunity to evaluate political and social changes in the global system, as well as providing theoretical and analytical perspectives on international relations and the developing of common geo-political knowledge. In order to improve knowledge and share experience, international experts are invited from various fields of study. In addition Western Caspian University offers doctoral students the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus Mundus program to improve their research and familiarize themselves with international experience.

Participation in the program and future perspectives:

The PhD program is offered to graduates with a master’s degree. PhD students can specialize in particular disciplines. Those interested in investigating problems in international relations also have the opportunity to conduct high level, independent research. Graduates can work as teachers in educational institutions and can also use their research skills within the framework of international, governmental or non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
