Technical Esthetics and Design
Western Caspian University offers a PhD program in Technical Esthetics and Design.

The PhD program in technical esthetics and design provides a high level program that develops analytical thinking and modern research methods and competencies. There is considerable emphasis on the history of design, theory and practice of visual culture, modern methods of design, ecological aspects and modern design problems. The PhD program provides doctoral students with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out scientific-pedagogical activity in the field of artistic and visual culture. It also introduces modern and current teaching methods such as using online technologies, pedagogical activities, and integrative methods.
In order to improve knowledge and share experience international experts in various fields of study are invited such as Colin Love from the UK, Randall Baker and Rise Kelsey from the United States, Ross Douglass from Canada, and Emmanuel Arcon and Martiniz Cristobal from Spain. In addition, Western Caspian University offers doctoral students a chance to participate in the Erasmus Mundus program to improve their research and familiarize themselves with international experience.
Participation in the program and future perspectives:
Applicants to this program must have completed a full master's degree in a design specialty. Graduates are eligible for employment in educational institutions, business, government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
